Clayton Edward Mahle


North Warren, PA - Clayton Edward Mahle, 54, of 33 Main Drive died Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at the Comfort House of Allegany County in Wellsville, NY, after being diagnosis with lung cancer on October 1st. He was born May 1, 1958 in Brookville, PA the son of Thomas and Fay (Beck) Mahle. 

Clayton was a 1978 graduate of the Clarion Area High School and attended the Williamsport Technical Institute. At age 20 he was diagnosed with Schizophrenia and has resided at the Warren State Hospital in North Warren, PA since that time. In his youth, he loved electrical work and farming. He also enjoyed history, astrology, music and attending the services at the Warren State Hospital Interfaith Chapel.

He is survived by his mother Fay Billings of Wellsville, NY, his grandmother, Gladys Beck of Blair's Corners, PA, two brothers, Scott (Amy) Mahle of Concord, NC and Johnnie (Carrie) Billings of Marion, NY, one sister, Tammy Mahle of Wellsville, NY, his uncle & aunt, Sam and Audrey Mahle of Miola, PA and several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Thomas Mahle and his grandfather, Kenneth Beck. 

Friends are invited to a memorial service on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at 1:00pm at the Interfaith Chapel at Warren State Hospital, 33 Main Drive in North Warren, PA with Rev. Dan Wolboldt presiding.   1. I knew Clayton for the many years I had worked at WSH and he was nothing but kind to me. He had the sweetest personality and had that impish grin he would show shyly. I am sorry he is gone but feel he is now whole in heaven. God Bless you!
