Belmont, NY - Diana L. Button, 95, of 5118 State Route 244 passed away on Monday, April 16, 2012 at Highland Park Health Center in Wellsville. She was born July 15, 1916 in the Town of Independence, the daughter of Lee and Nora (Barney) Heselton. On June 12, 1943 in Nile she married Paul E. Button who predeceased her on September 21, 1975.
Diana was a 1933 graduate of Whitesville High School and a 1942 graduate of the Rochester Business Institute in Wellsville. She was employed at Belmont Quadrangle in Wellsville prior to her marriage. She later was the bookkeeper for her husband's various businesses.
She is survived by two children, Patsy Button of Belmont and Daniel (Mary Kay) Button of New London, NH, six grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two children, Paula O'Hare and Ralph Button and one sister, Marian Losey.
As to her request, there will be no prior visitation or service. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Alfred Station. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the Amity Rescue Squad. To leave online condolences, please visit www.embserfuneralhome.com.
