Belmont, NY - Melinda L."Mindy" Frungillo of 6430 Baker Valley Road went to be with the Lord surrounded by her family in Belmont on Wednesday, February 22, 2012. She took great pride in watching her daughter and son grow and become who they are today. Her grandsons Collin and Ben were the light of her life. Melinda was a woman with abundant talents and energy who was very active in wildlife rescue and was certified for Wild Life Rehabilitation. She took a great interest in reading, baking, making quilts, and being the support for family and friends.

Frungillo II of Belmont, two grandchildren, Collin and Ben Preston of Belfast, her parents, Daniel and Patricia Gleason of Crossville, TN, one brother Lance Gleason of Atlanta, GA and mother-in-law Dorothy Frungillo of Belmont. 6. My sympathy to Melinda's family. Though I didn't keep close tabs on Melinda, I knew a lot about what she was doing thanks to my wife who saw her often at Alfred Alamond. We lost one of our Programs brightest stars, she was among the first to complete the Veterinary Technology Progam at Alfred State College and she set the bar extremely high for all those who have followed. She was an excellent student and a gracious and loving person who will be missed by everyone she touched during her life. Know that I feel the loss and will always look back at my first class as Director of the Veterinary Technology Program and thank Melinda for challenging me daily to make sure the program prepared them to become more than Veterinary Technicians.
    Thank You Melinda.

  7. My sympathy goes out to the Frungillo's and anyone who truly knew Mrs. Frungillo. I have been close friends with Steven since we were in 2nd grade and Mr. and Mrs. Frungillo were like a second set of parents to me. I have so many memories with the whole family and I truly regret life has taken me in another direction and I missed being there for the Frungillo's. Mrs. Frungillo's loving heart will live on because of the way she impacted so many people's lives.
