Louise O. Schrlau

Wellsville, NY - Louise O. Schrlau, 82, formerly of 115 E. State Street went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, January 2, 2011 at Jones Memorial Hospital. She was born September 22, 1929 in Scio the daughter of the late Merle and Gladys (Ost) Jackson.

Louise was known for her love of God, family, friends, for her smile and her unique sense of humor. She has resided for the past eight years at Manor Hills and was a member of the Riverside Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by six children, Howard "Bill" (Kay) Schrlau of Wellsville, Onalee (Thomas) Weaver of Bradford, PA, Edward (Anna Riley) Schrlau of Smethport, Mary Barrett of Spencerport, Sandy (John Crawford) Sherwood of Wellsville and Sherrie (Timothy Niccloy) Schrlau of LeRoy, 16 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, one great granddaughter, three sisters, Mildred (Eugene) Smith of Scio, Hazel Jones of Bolivar and Phyllis (William) Jones of Bowling Green, KY, one brother, Leslie Jackson of Scio, a sister-in-law, Viva Jackson of Friendship and a devoted friend, Shirley Hosmer of Scio as well as several nieces & nephews.

She was predeceased by her two brothers, Millard and William Jackson, a brother-in-law, Elmer Jones, two sisters-in-law, Angie Jackson and Mary Lou Jackson, a great granddaughter, Azriel Butler and her former husband, Clifford Schrlau.

Friends are invited to call on Thursday, January 5, 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and Friday from 12 noon to 2:00 pm at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc. in Wellsville. The funeral will follow visitation on Friday at 2:00 pm in the funeral home with Rev. John Francisco presiding. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery in Scio.
