  1. Lars was an old friend of mine. I haven't seen him in years but was able to reconnect with him last week. It's hard to believe he's gone. He was a great guy and I will miss him dearly.

  2. I remember when Lars was born and watched
him grow in his younger years. Throughout
the years as we grow and move, you loose
    connection with those you love.
All, I can say is he was a wonderful, and loving young man and will be missed greatly.
My thoughts & prayers go out to Linda, Gordon, Darcy, and the entire family.

  3. I met Lars last year as we started at Horace Mann at the same time. In the week I spent with him, I came to know Lars as a caring and compassionate man. I was planning a trip to Austin to see him and now sadly I will not. Lars...your memory will live on in my life until we meet again. Simon England

  4. I met Lars and Rae probably six or seven years ago at the ball park, Dell Diamond, where they often came to watch minor league baseball games. I can't recall ever seeing Lars in anything other than a jovial mood. When he laughed or smiled, it brought laughter and smiles to everyone around him.

Lars will never be forgotten. He will live on in our hearts and through memories forever but will be deeply missed.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to his family and friends, especially Rae.

  8. Lars was a very good friend for the past few years. His intellectual insights were stimulating. He would drop anything at a moments notice to help with anything. When I hear the songs "Jolene" or "Oops, I Did It Again," I will remember his karaoke (or as he called it, krackeoke) performances. He would not let any differences in political or religious opinions change a relationship. Hunting trips and Round Rock Express Ballgames will never be the same. He is terribly missed. My condolences to all his family and friends in Texas and Vermont....Mickey Woydziak...Austin, Tx.

  10. Lars is one of the people I tell God "thank you" for allowing us to cross paths. I had the privilege to hire him and partner with his and Rae's agency. Everyone loved his laugh and appreciated the authenticity of his nature. He reminded me daily not to sweat the small stuff with..."Omarr, that's too easy" Every client, school, friends within Horace Mann will miss you Lars.
    To Lars family and parents,
My family and I are praying for you. Phill tells me that Max is Lars all over again. Tell that young man (and Ethan) that his father was respected and appreciated by everyone he met.

I send my love to Rae, his family, and extended family that he meant so much to. You are all in my prayers.

I am Lars' aunt, Trilby Beauprey McIntosh - his mother's, Linda S. Hunt, sister. Thank you for all your kind rememberances and loving wishes. I will always remember Lars' loving devotion to his elderly grandparents, his effervescent ready smile and his dear sweet spirit that will forever be a burning ember in my heart. God bless Rae and all of you with a peace that passes all understanding and a love that is everlasting.

  14. I was truly blessed to have you as my best 'Bud'. You were the best at so many things. The best to make us laugh, and the best at grilling steaks. I never found a topic you didn't know extensively. This always amazed me, and I'm old. More importantly, you had the best of all human qualities. Honesty, integrity, and compassion. I wish you knew the impact you have had on so many that have had the privilege to know you, even briefly. Thank God I still have Rae, but we both miss you beyond comprehension. I love you, Bud.

  15. Lars, I only met you a few times when you came to our school as a Horace Mann rep, but every time you were there you made us all smile, and left us in a better mood than you found us. Your generous smile and youthful enthusiasm will surely be missed in this world.
