  1. Steve, Mary and Ryan...

So sorry for your loss. Even though I lost both my mom and dad recently, I can't even imagine losing a son and brother. If there is anything I can do for you folks, I am here for you.

  8. Dear Mr. Martinelli,
I only knew you son at a distance. Your boys and my son, who is a couple years older, had the same child care provider. Then I would see them at church. So I really didn’t know them. However I did know that both your sons were totally involved with living life totally to the fullest. You did a nice job seeing to that.
You were right there ~ totally committed to them. It was beautiful to see. They were lucky to have you. I always admired you as a Father.
It is hard to even imagine how much you will miss your son. My heart goes out to you and your family.
    Be well,

  10. Martinelli Family,

I am sure that no amount of condolences can ease the sorrow your family is experiencing at this time. The best way I know how to grieve the loss of a loved one is to share some moments of happiness. I met Matt all the way back in Elementary school. He was always fun to be around and as we grew up in school together I always considered him to be my friend. I still have pictures of us proudly showing off our dolphin aquarium we made together in 3rd grade! As we grew older and moved on to Middle school and then High school Matt and I shared a love of reading and I always enjoyed the insight he shared in class. He also seemed to always have a wealth of sports knowledge that I never had much interest in! Pictures before Homecoming, Snowball or Prom will never fade and the moves he had even in his wheelchair will always impress. Matt never let any physical difficulties impede him from achieving his dreams. It is truly his unwavering spirit and infectious smile that I will never forget. My regret is that I lost touch with Matt over the last year and that I am unable to pay my respects in person. If there is anything at all that I can do please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Your family and Matt is in my thoughts and prayers,

    Samantha Elliott
