Donalda D. "Donnie" Ketchner

Scio, NY - Donalda D. “Donnie” Ketchner, 66, of 4422 River Street died on Friday, February 12, 2010 shortly after arrival at Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville. She was born December 14, 1943 in Olean the daughter of Lee and Geneva (Moore) Jordan. She was first married to Gordon Black who predeceased her in 1977. On June 24, 1989 in Scio she married William R. Ketchner who survives.

Donalda was raised in Bolivar, was a graduate of Bolivar High School, and was a former member of the Bolivar Fire Department, the Bolivar Fire Department Auxiliary and the Bolivar First United Methodist Church. She was formerly employed at the Castle Inn in Olean and the Wellsville Manor Care Center.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Sue (Walt) Brown of Mooresville, NC and Merri (Tracy) Griffiths of Wellsville, a stepson, Timothy (Kim) Ketchner of Sebring, FL, eight grandchildren, Molly Brown and fiancé, Ken Sullivan, Greg Brown, Clarissa Young, Kyle Young, Nathan Griffiths, Garrett Griffiths, Jennifer (Mark) Meinke and Ryan (Tana) Ketchner, three great grandchildren, Tyler, Madison and Beu, and a brother, Michael Jordan of Pennsylvania.

Friends are invited to call on Monday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc in Wellsville. The funeral will be at the convenience of the family with Deacon Frank Pasquale presiding. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Scio. Memorial suggestions include the Wellsville Volunteer Ambulance Corps or the Scio Free Library.

  4. i miss you grandma... i just wish you were still here. i hate how your not there to answer the phone i call or the door when it's locked when i come home from school. but i know your still there no matter what. because you said you would be. i love you. with love always and forever... -clarissa
