Dean Garry "Diz" Dillie

Belmont, NY - Dean Garry "Diz" Dillie, 49, of 4 Wells Street died unexpectedly on Monday, November 16, 2009 at his home. He was born July 22, 1960 in Wellsville the son of Donald E. and Sandra (Lunn) Dillie.

Dean was a long time resident of Wellsville and had recently moved to “The Belmont”.

He was formerly employed as a diesel mechanic by Premier Fire Equipment in Houma, LA. He loved dogs and enjoyed playing pool.

He is survived by his mother of Wellsville, five brothers & sisters, Don “Buzz” Dillie of Indian Rocks Beach, FL, Kerry (David) Mette of Waterloo, NY, Mike “Barney” Dillie of Wellsville, Lorri (Claude) Nieman of New Milford, CT and Barb Raybon of Wellsville, two aunts, Kaaren Monroe of Wellsville and Roxie (Ronald) Flurschutz of Rochester and several nieces, nephews & cousins. He was predeceased by his father in 1994

Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc. in Wellsville. A memorial service will be conducted on Friday, November 20th at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Rev. Dick Helms presiding. Memorial contributions are suggested to the SPCA Serving Allegany County or the American Cancer Society. A luncheon celebrating Dean’s life will follow the memorial service at the Duke Hose Company, 80 Stevens Street in Wellsville.
